Educators at our Kath Dickson Education and Care Centre Gladstone Street have been holding Zoom sessions three time a week with families who are staying at home to help them feel less isolated. And the response has been amazing!

Kate Mason, the Centre Director, said the staff were nervous about venturing into this new technological realm but have now really embraced it.

“We read stories, do activities, have conversations and share experiences like we normally's just online”.

“One of the children wanted to show us around his backyard so we put on our hats and sunscreen, and all went outside ‘together’.

“It is wonderful that there have been some positives in this current situation and we look forward to thinking of new ways to use this technology once life returns to normal again.”

Kath Dickson Education and Care Centres remain open and are currently offering free child care to all eligible families. To find out more, give us a call on 1300 336 345.
